Peaceful Divorce & Parenting Plan: Consultation & Process
~ What to Expect
When you call our office, you will be invited to make an appointment with or without your spouse/co-parent. If both of you attend and choose to mediate with us, you will sign an agreement and pay the fee or a portion of the fee at that time, or you may return to sign and pay when you are able.
If the other party does not attend or is not ready to proceed, we will consult with them privately to address any concerns they may have. Once both parties are ready to proceed, each will be given some forms to complete and some material to read in advance about the process. Once both parties have completed their forms, we will set an appointment for your first mediation session. Each mediation session lasts two hours or less to prevent fatigue. Most divorces and/or parenting plan issues are resolved in three sessions.
Encouraging an emotionally-charged spouse to mediate and file a "peaceful divorce" can seem like a daunting task, but we are here to help. Call (360) 442-4101 and let our experienced, compassionate attorneys guide you through this process, as well as talk to your spouse or co-parent. We provide caring counsel that makes navigating the legal process much easier. Call us today.
